Just wanted to send out a few highlights from last nights meeting for those who were not able to attend
First, the Terrell Team Open event is March 15th. The format is team style 5 fish limit and a $120 entry fee, not including the $20 big stringer option. No AOY points are awarded at this tournament.
The tourney dates are posted. Note that May and June tournaments will be on Sunday because Borderline is having tournaments on the Saturday of the same weekend and we thought people would like to fish both.
Borderline has extended an invite to our club to join them at Lake Potholes Team in September with no extra non-mamber entry fees, so mark your calendars for September 7th & 8th.
Another thing we talked about is how we want to make sure we operate as more than just a bunch of guys who fish against each other and remember that we are all friends who all enjoy the sport. With that said we want to try and do a small fish in style get together with a barbecue after and bring your wife or girlfriend and just hang out sometime this year. More to come on that
We announced a new sponsor this year, New Pro Products is donating some things to the club and we are really excited to have that partnership. Also KBJ Welding has donated hats again for paid members so make sure you get one when you sign up!
Another thing that’s exciting is next year we are changing our logo, and I would like it to be member designed. We are going to have a little competition throughout the year. Send me a logo you’ve created (it doesn’t have to be perfect) and at the end of the year we will vote on the top 3 for next year. Winner will get a prize that is tbd.
We also talked a bit about enhancing our online presence by doing some videos on how - to techniques, rigging, building a livewell etc. if you think you’d be interested in helping out with that let me or Andrew know.
If anybody has any questions feel free to contact me or Andrew on Facebook or my cell at 425-330-9462.
